Navigating Your Path with Transparency

At Mama Heal Therapy, transparency is a cornerstone of our approach. We believe in fostering trust through clear communication. Our “Good Faith Estimate” page is dedicated to providing you with an honest and upfront understanding of the financial aspect of your journey with us. We created this page to ensure that you embark on your healing journey with confidence and clarity, knowing exactly what to expect. Your well-being is our priority, and our commitment to transparency reflects that.

As of January 1st, 2022 and under the No Surprises Act, state-licensed and/or certified healthcare providers are required to provide a “Good Faith Estimate” of healthcare charges to every new and continuing client who is either uninsured or is not planning to submit claim to their insurance for the healthcare services they seek.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost, when you find a therapist and hire them.

Under this the law, healthcare providers are required to provide clients who do not have insurance or who are unsure of insurance estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy and mental health services. You have the right to request and receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of non-emergency healthcare services. You may ask your healthcare provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. Ensure that you find a therapist who is honest and transparent.

If you end up receiving a bill that is at least $400.00 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill by first contacting the healthcare provider or the facility to let them know the billed charges are higher than the GFE and request the business to update the bill to match the GFE. If you need more information or you wish to start a dispute process with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) please visit https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
